Today is the first day that I did not bring Steffi to and from school and it’s also the first day that we did not see each other for the whole day (since 840am). It’’s part of the transition plan for both of us as I’ll be going back to work on 1 feb. Heard that she was ok this morning in school and hopefully all things go well. Kinda feel strange without her around me. Guess I’ve been too used to having her around. God help us to transit smoothly.

Something to look forward to though.. we are going Shanghai this sat! Will post more photos of Shanghai when we r back! :)

We went to the fish farm last sat and Steffi had her hands on feeding chickens, fish and ducks! She also tried scooping fish with a fish net. Enjoyable trip for us all! :)

Today is the fourth day of school for Steffi and it’s the first day that parents are not allowed inside the classroom. Needless to say, I am anxious, not knowing how Steffi will react.

Phew! Thank God the ‘parting’ was not dramatic as she did not cry but said goodbye to me. I told her that I will be going to the market and that I will be waiting for her outside her classroom once her class is over (once they sing the ’sha la la’ song). I even promised a reward, a special biscuit for her if she doesn’t cry.. hee.. rewarding her for good behaviour!

After the class, the teacher told me that she cried for me a little then was pacified by the teacher, cried a little again. Overall, it’s not too bad. I am glad to hear that! :)

May the Lord bless her 2 hours in school each day and may she enjoy herself. :)

some pics taken on the first day.

Today is Steffi’s first day of school. Here is a video of her helping the teacher to pack up the toys!

This video was taken about 2 months back.. and it shall be the last video for this blog for the year! Happy new year everyone! :)

My little helper at work again! This time, she helped me to wrap Christmas presents..

Successful:-

Not so successful:-

Elaine gave Steffi a pair of chopsticks yesterday.. Steffi used it just now to pick up her fav ’star star’ biscuits. The pair of chopsticks is specially designed for beginners with loops for little fingers to grip and the chopsticks are joined together at one end..

We went to Hong Kong last week and were at the Disney’s Hollywood Hotel for the first two nights. Loved disneyland and Steffi enjoyed it too! As the disneyland was not crowded and not too big, we managed to take most of the rides and repeated some rides too! (Pooh Bear rides x 3, Little world x 2 and the winner is “Astro Blaster”! x 7 times! ) Steffi really enjoyed Astro Blaster and she will say “Again” at the end of the ride. Here are some pictures. Will upload more photos later.. :)

Our accommodation for the first two nights: Disney Hollywood Hotel

note: it’s really not crowded.. :)

Pooh bear ride.. when Steffi says “again”, we just go in again. No Q! So shiok!

Steffi’s favorite!

The castle in the day
